We're back at it at the office after our Scotland trip/conference and this time I'm with my patient Caralyn!
This past February, Caralyn had a scheduled surgery followed by an emergency surgery in her left upper body. Not only did Caralyn receive regular chiropractic kinesiology treatments before her scheduled surgery, but she also came back in to the office as soon as she was able to after the surgeries to have holistic chiropractic care included in her post-operative care.
Research, including in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, has shown that chiropractic care before and after surgery: lowers hospitalization time, increases speed of recovery, reduces pain levels significantly, increase lung volume following surgery, facilitates recovery of functional ability, and improves cardiac function, among many other benefits.
I treated Caralyn just as I would any patient, checking a few extra things considering she had just had the surgery done, in particular a technique called injury recall to aid the body in processing major injury/trauma/surgery, the alignment and strength of neck, upper back, and left extremity especially, presence of any scar tissue, electromagnetic interferences, nutritional supplement supports, and more.
A few months later, Caralyn is well on her way to feeling and functioning at optimal again. She's dedicated to healing herself in all ways and has been wonderful to work with. Thanks to my amazing patient Caralyn for sharing these photos and your story with us!
