Mind-Body techniques are an essential part of my treatments in the office! The Mind-Body connection has now been scientifically proven, and it is a fact that emotional stressors and complexes that accumulate throughout our life can greatly impact our physical health.
I address these emotional blocks in a variety of ways during my patient's chiropractic kinesiology treatments in-office. We will commonly utilize muscle testing to uncover the negative emotion that causes a muscle (nervous system) weakening. We will then use a variety of techniques to aid the body in processing the emotion, depending on what I feel my patient needs.
These techniques can include thinking of the emotional stressor while receiving an adjustment, and/or making the body aware of the emotional stressor and then applying another treatment method of some kind. I am also trained in Neuro Emotional Technique, which employs a combination of techniques from traditional Chinese Medicine, chiropractic, and Applied Kinesiology to help the body to process current or past emotions which may have overloaded the body's stress management systems.
When approaching my patients, I feel that it is my duty to look at all parts of the whole, not JUST structural (adjustments). Emotional/mental health is an important factor, and my patients tend to benefit much more when it is also addressed in our treatments. So let's get healthy, and happy!
