Since it's Thursday (aka Throwback Thursday), I dug up a few very old photos of myself when I was just beginning my graduate schooling and and on my way to mastering the art of chiropractic kinesiology!
I began taking seminars in Applied Kinesiology during my very first trimester in school, which is now almost 8 years ago! I can't imagine practicing chiropractic without muscle testing. Applied Kinesiology, is a diagnostic and treatment tool based in manual muscle testing. In AK, we learn how to muscle test literally almost every muscle in the body. Each muscle is related to certain parts of the spine and nerves, specific organs, emotions, reflex points, and more. In this way, muscle testing can be a huge window into the function of the body, and can provide many important insights into how to proceed with treatment of the patient at that time.
I also can't imagine my life and practice without my mentor Dr. Tim Francis, an amazing healer who lives in Las Vegas, NV. He taught me much of what I know, including my muscle testing, Applied Kinesiology, menu testing, adjusting skills, and more.
Thank you for taking a trip down memory lane with me and taking a peek at my roots! I am so blessed, honored, and happy to be where I am today. 2016 has been such an amazing year at the office so far, and we are only one week in! I have learned so much over my first few years in practice, and I look forward to all that is to come.
