Another week, another amazing moment here in the office, and this was a big moment!

This past week I got to give 3 week old baby Anderson his very first chiropractic adjustment. Anderson's mom received chiropractic care before her pregnancy, throughout her entire pregnancy, and as soon as she could make it in after giving birth, she scheduled an appointment for both herself and her little one.  Jocelyn, I totally commend you!

This past March, I traveled to Vancouver to take one of the best seminars I have ever taken- prenatal and perinatal care aka Webster Certification.

The benefits of chiropractic care for both mom and baby are truly incredible. This is an area where chiropractic really shines. It is an area that I've been happy to expand my skills to.

Postpartum chiropractic care for mom can:

*restore normal pelvic and spinal biomechanics
*speed up recovery and healing
*correct posture
*help to normalize hormones
*help to decrease postpartum depression and/or anxiety
*and much more

Chiropractic care for newborns can:

*restore normal spinal and cranial alignment following birth
*improve breastfeeding
*reduce allergies, asthma, and other respiratory ailments
*reduce gastrointestinal complaints and baby GERD
*improve colic
*and much more

And "Rest assured that chiropractic adjustments to your newborn uses no more pressure than you'd use to test the ripeness of a tomato."- ICPA-International Chiropractic Pediatric Association

Thanks so much to Jocelyn and Anderson for making our week so momentous!  We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Have you needed or wanted to do the Standard Process Inc.Purification Program/Detox but haven't yet? Now may be the perfect time! Starting January 6, 2020, SP is hosting a NATIONWIDE detoxification challenge!

As many of you know, 4 patients and I completed the 21 Day Purification Program this past October, with some fantastic benefits, including kicking our caffeine and sugar cravings, losing weight, seeing our skin and digestive ailments clear up, reducing our joint pains, and more, but most importantly helping to cleanse and purify our bodies from the daily onslaught of toxins.

In short, there are two possible cleanse programs: the-very-thorough-yet-challenging 28 day cleanse, or the slightly-shorter-yet-still-effective 10 day detox.

What better way to kick off a brand new year than to do your body the huge favor of cleansing from the inside out. In today's world, we need it! I personally aim to do one, ideally two, cleanses per year. A few months back, I posted the SP Toxicity Questionnaire, and according to that questionnaire, I should aim for 1-2 cleanses a year currently.

I want to stress the AWESOMENESS of being a part of a nationwide cleanse. Completing the cleanse with a group of people greatly increases your chances of success with this cleanse. This past October, we had a private Facebook group for those of us doing the purification program, and it was so helpful for sharing our tips, tricks, recipes, and more. When you sign up for the challenge, you will also get daily inspirational emails, recipes, access to their Facebook group to discuss progress, ideas, tips, encouragement etc, and even an opportunity to win some prizes. Having this support, rather than attempting to do it all solo, is truly ideal!

If you are interested in discussing whether or not a cleanse may be beneficial for your health and possibly participating in this challenge, contact me, or ask me in your next visit. I always like to determine with my patients first whether or not a cleanse would be right for them at this time.
